What a token page needs
A checklist of what a token page should contain, from the contract address to the risk notice.
The essentials
- The contract address, easy to copy, with the network named and a link to its page on the block explorer.
- The token name, its ticker and one sentence on what the project is.
- Where to buy: the exchange or decentralized exchange, with links that lead to the right token and not to a lookalike.
- The official links in one place: X, Telegram and the website, and nothing else.
Tokenomics
- The total supply and how it is split between team, liquidity, community and the rest, as a table and as a chart.
- Whether the supply is fixed, and who can create more tokens or change the rules.
- Vesting or lock dates, if any, with a link to the proof.
- Taxes or fees on transfers, if any.
What builds trust
- The whitepaper or a short document, linked as a file and readable on a phone.
- The audit report, if one exists, linked to the auditor’s own page. If there is none, say so.
- The team or contact details you are willing to publish.
- A roadmap with dates you can keep. Remove items that are done or dropped.
Wallet connection
- Ask for a wallet only when the page needs one: a mint, a claim, staking. A page that only shows information does not need it.
- Support the wallets your audience actually uses, with WalletConnect as the universal fallback, show the network the visitor is on, and ask before switching it.
- Explain each request in one sentence before the wallet opens.
- Never ask for a seed phrase. Never ask for a signature that is not described in plain words.
Risk notice
Add a visible notice that the page is information and not investment advice, and that tokens can lose their value. Whether you need one, and the exact wording, depends on where you operate and who you address: ask a lawyer.
Phone and speed
- Visitors often arrive from X or Telegram on a phone. The contract address and the buy link should show without scrolling.
- Keep the page light: compressed images, no autoplay video, no third-party script you do not need.
